This week we celebrate our innovative engineers! Meet Kelly Hartless from BWXT’s Nuclear Operations Group in Lynchburg, Virginia. Kelly is a group leader in the Uranium Processing and Research Reactor department responsible for leading the engineering effort of the Specialty Fuel Team. Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia. Kelly began her career in 1997 with BWXT and is supporting the restart of the BWXT TRISO Fuel Facility

t’s International Women in Engineering Day!

Former student Georgia has been named as one of the top 50 female engineers under the age of 35 and is currently employed as Innovations Champion at HS2.

Her advice to others is, “If you are driven and passionate to reshape society and the world around you, then this is the best time to follow a career in engineering”
