Schletter Group Wins Order for Largest Solar Park in Vietnam

The Schletter Group will supply the mounting systems for the largest solar power plant in Vietnam. The plant in the South Vietnamese province of Ninh Tuan will generate over 200 MWp of solar power and is scheduled for completion by 2020.

"This important acquisition success shows that our growth course in Asia is bearing fruit," said Florian Roos, Head of the Schletter Group for Asia and the Pacific Region (APAC).

"The Vietnamese solar market offers great long-term growth potential," Roos added. "Our local presence and proximity to our production site in Shanghai put us in a good position to leverage this potential.”

The solar power plant, which is financed by VNT Investment Group, is to be built in the southern province of Ninh Thua, northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It is the first project of the Schletter Group in Vietnam and at the same time the largest in the country. The coastal location in hilly and steep terrain places high demands on the mounting system. In particular, it must have a flexible design and be particularly corrosion-resistant.

For these reasons, the Schletter FS AS Duo two-pillar system will be used. According to the company, “A high degree of prefabrication will guarantee quick installation and thus a high degree of economic efficiency of the facility.”

Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2018.
